The subsidiaries of VTG Rail Logistics, Retrack and ELP (European Loc Pool) have signed a contract for leasing of locomotives, including all services. This is the first long-term contract of its kind adopted by Retrack. The contract should include the operation of up to four EuroDual locomotives. Retrack would like to operate them on strategically important corridors that it serves.

These locomotives are manufactured by Stadler company. These are hybrid locomotives that have power of 2.8 MW in diesel mode and 6 MW in electric mode. This power is ideal for a usage in heavy freight trains. The locomotives have increased performance due to a combination of the high traction and optimized energy consumption. This allows VTG Logistic and Retrack to achieve targeted efficiency.

The big advantage of hybrid locomotives is greater environmental friendliness due to reduced CO2 emissions. These locomotives meet both safety requirements of TSI certification and European emission limits.
