From 26 February Ukrainian citizens after crossing the Polish border can travel free of charge in Poland on 2 kinds of PKP Intercity trains - TLK and IC. During the journey, you can change trains – on the condition that they are also TLK or IC trains. Travelers will receive a free ticket.
PKP Intercity runs trains between Poland and Ukraine on the basis of the current train timetable. The carrier is prepared to strengthen connections on domestic sections - additional 20 wagons were sent to Przemyśl. The company cooperates with the Polish authorities to ensure operational efficiency, as well as with local authorities and the crisis management center in Przemyśl. PKP Intercity employees are at the railway station in Przemyśl and coordinate rail transport, manage the flows of travelers, and also check-in passengers. The flow of passengers is monitored on an ongoing basis and trains are strengthened with additional cars.
Also, regional rail carriers in Poland introduced free travel for Ukrainian citizens.
