PKP CARGO Steps Up Partnership with COSCO SHIPPING to Boost Intermodal Transport

PKP CARGO S.A., a major player in rail logistics, is focusing more on intermodal transport, seeing it as a key area for growth.

Recently, Dr. Marcin Wojewódka, the acting head of PKP CARGO, met with representatives from the COSCO SHIPPING Group to discuss expanding their partnership. Given the strategic importance of intermodal transport, PKP CARGO is preparing a specialized international cooperation offer aimed at expanding its services within the Western and Central-Eastern European markets.

During the meeting, Dr. Wojewódka highlighted the benefits of integrating PKP CARGO’s various international operations to enhance the company's competitiveness. This strategy is part of a broader effort to streamline operations and cut transport costs. He also mentioned the significance of developing COSCO SHIPPING Lines in Poland, where PKP CARGO holds a 20% stake.

This joint venture is crucial for PKP CARGO as it continues to build a reliable and efficient partnership with one of the world’s largest shipping companies, which operates around 480 container ships across 40 countries.
