The situation in Poland and the security of the country in the context of the war in Ukraine were the leading topics at this year's 'Defence 24 Day' conference. The president of PKP CARGO S.A., Dariusz Seliga, spoke about security in transportation and logistics.
Military officers, entrepreneurs, scientists, experts, politicians, and local government officials discussed the essential issues related to the security of Poland and Europe for two days at PGE National in Warsaw. Much attention was paid to the protection of the country's critical infrastructure, i.e. power grids, gas grids, or the transportation system. One of the panels, in which the president of PKP CARGO S.A. also took part, was devoted to these issues.

The head of PKP CARGO stressed that the company attaches great importance to the safety of rail transport and that the railroad cooperates strongly in this matter with, among others, the Territorial Defense Forces, such as protection against terrorist attacks. In turn, cooperation with the Cyberspace Defense Forces helps PKP CARGO protect data stored in the company's IT network. "There are various attempts to enter the network through the accounts of employees who have partial access to it," said Dariusz Seliga. And he thanked the Cyber Defense Forces and special services for their help in protecting PKP CARGO's IT resources.
The CEO pointed out that in these times, it is necessary to cooperate as closely as possible with the military of enterprises that are part of the state's critical infrastructure. "I wish as CEO that the military was present in everything. Personally, I would feel safer then," stated Dariusz Seliga.
