LTG Cargo has announced the appointment of Aivaras Čičelis as a new independent member of its board.
This addition comes after a thorough selection process involving over 30 candidates, following the resignation of the previous chairman at the end of last year. Čičelis was chosen for his extensive experience on company boards, his prowess in international business development, and his proven track record in successfully managing ambitious projects.

Egidijus Lazauskas, head of the LTG Group, expressed confidence in Čičelis’s ability to contribute significantly to the company's ongoing projects, particularly those aimed at integrating into the Western railway network. “With his accumulated experience, Aivaras will ensure the efficient and sustainable development of our freight transport operations in Poland and the Baltic countries,” Lazauskas stated.

Aivaras Čičelis brings experience from various high-level management roles. Currently, he serves as an independent board member at companies including HISK, PRO BRO, and BMI, and as the deputy chairman of the Supervisory Board at INVEGA. His previous roles include executive vice president, board member, and financial director at SEB bank.

Čičelis is also well-prepared academically, holding a Bachelor of Economics and a Master of Finance and Banking from Vilnius University, along with advanced training from the International Management Development Institute in Switzerland and SEB's leadership development program at the Wallenberg Institute. His term on the board of LTG Cargo will begin on June 1, 2024, and is set to continue until January 5, 2027.
