The French company Keolis, which is part of the state railways SNCF, plans to sell to the German company Eurobahn, which is one of the main carriers in North Rhine-Westphalia. According to German media, this is an exit from the German railway market.

"Keolis SA will leave Keolis Deutschland as a shareholder at the end of this year and the company will be transferred to a new, neutral shareholder," the transport association was quoted as saying in a statement. Keolis Deutschland is the 100% owner of Eurobahn and now employs just over 900 people. According to all sources, the cause of the problem was Covid, which caused passengers to blackout during the pandemic.”

About the long-term promised sustainability are also trying the arrangers of new contracts with the company Eurobahn. After all, it is not only Eurobahn that is in trouble, but other German carriers are also in significant losses. Abellio, a dutch state railway company inverted by the Dutch Government in Germany was also in trouble.
