Alstom has announced the appointment of Frédéric Wiscart as France Region President and member of the Alstom Leadership Team, effective November 4, 2024.

Frédéric Wiscart joins Alstom from Arabelle Solutions, part of the EDF group, where he served as Chief Executive Officer. He brings extensive leadership experience, having held prominent roles in GE Power and the former Alstom Power. His proven track record in project-based businesses will be a significant asset to Alstom. Mr. Wiscart’s operational expertise will ensure continued excellence in serving the Group’s major customers in France.

"Frédéric’s extensive experience and strong leadership track record make him an excellent choice to lead Alstom France into the future," said Alstom CEO Henri Poupart-Lafarge. "I’m delighted to welcome him to my leadership team, and I am confident that, under his guidance, Alstom France will continue the operational progress made in recent years and will contribute significantly to our mission of developing innovative and sustainable mobility solutions."

Wiscart adds: "I am thrilled to be joining Alstom and Henri’s management team. I am determined to put my expertise in large industrial projects to serve Alstom’s customers in France. It is a real honor for me to lead such a highly skilled and fully committed team, and I look forward to getting started with them!"

After a distinguished career with Alstom, Jean-Baptiste Eyméoud will pursue other professional opportunities outside Alstom. Poupart-Lafarge continues: "I can only express my warm thanks to Jean-Baptiste on behalf of the leadership team and all the teams at Alstom. His contribution to Alstom’s development has been decisive, particularly as head of the France region, where he played a key role in the advent of the new generation of TGV-M high-speed trains, which will shape the mobility landscape for decades to come. Thanks to his teams, who delivered numerous line extensions, and contributed most recently to the performance and quality of the public transport offer during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. I wish Jean-Baptiste all the best for the next chapter of his career."

Since 2023, Frédéric has led Arabelle Solutions, a nuclear turbine island business with 3,400 employees across 16 countries, which was acquired from GE by EDF Group in May 2024. He has more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry, in large and complex infrastructure project management and private & public customer relationship management.

He started his career at Arthur Andersen, where he worked on large accounts in the energy, public transportation, construction, and governmental sectors. In 2005, he joined Alstom’s corporate strategy team before heading the company’s power plant projects in Algeria and joining its Nuclear Business to develop and lead its integration projects capability. Following GE's acquisition of Alstom’s energy activities in 2015, Frédéric held several senior global leadership roles, including GE Steam Power’s Nuclear Business.

Frédéric holds engineering degrees from École Polytechnique and École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, France.
