RAILPOOL Group has acquired Nordisk TogTeknikk AS (NTT AS), a railway workshop operator, effective from August 31, 2022.
The acquisition will increase RAILPOOL's own workshop capacities to a total of six locations in Germany, Norway, and Sweden. All workshops will remain accessible to all customers and locomotives for preventive and corrective services. NTT AS will continue to operate its workshop locations in Oslo, Gothenburg, and Malmö, along with its daughter company, NTT Sverige AB. This acquisition underscores RAILPOOL's commitment to providing top-quality full-service to its customers from a single source. RAILPOOL CEO, Torsten Lehnert, emphasized the company's long-standing partnership with NTT AS management and their skilled team since the beginning of RAILPOOL's rental activities in 2010.

RAILPOOL currently has an extensive spare parts warehouse, a constantly growing partner workshop network throughout Europe, and additional office locations in Austria, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. The acquisition of NTT AS is part of the company's planned growth strategy. The acquisition brings approximately 50 highly qualified employees of NTT AS into the RAILPOOL Group, and former owners Einar Hageskal and Katri Hageskal will continue to lead NTT AS in their managerial roles to ensure continuity. Einar Hageskal expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition and said that he and his team are looking forward to an even more successful collaboration with their colleagues at RAILPOOL.
