Deutsche Bahn has reported a significant operating profit for the 2022 financial year despite challenges arising from the pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and rising inflation. The adjusted operating profit (EBIT) rose by €2.8 billion compared to 2021, reaching almost €1.3 billion. Group sales increased by 19.1% year-on-year to around €56.3 billion, setting a new record.

DB expects an operating loss of around €1 billion in the current fiscal year, with adjusted group revenue exceeding €56 billion.
