Key responsibilities include:
- preparing and implementing the Single Programming Document
- delivering on statutory and legal tasks

Candidates must exhibit solid leadership skills, the ability to maintain effective working relations with EU institutions and Member States, and a deep understanding of Union rail transport policy and the rail industry. They should also possess at least 15 years of postgraduate professional experience, including five years in high-level management, and meet other eligibility requirements such as EU citizenship, university qualifications, and language proficiency.
