Many actors in the railway industry are reacting to the invasion of Ukraine. Some by press releases about its transport issues and how they are dealing with it. Others with ending cooperation with Belarus and Russia. Deutsche Bahn (DB) is also taking a stance.

“Europe is shaken by the war. We are all deeply shocked. After more than 70 years of peace and freedom, few have been able to imagine an aggressive war in Europe. In Kyiv, 1,200 kilometers from Berlin, people seek refuge from airstrikes at subway stations. We feel thrown back to a time we thought we had long since overcome. We at Deutsche Bahn stand for a peaceful, united, and democratic Europe. The Russian attack on Ukraine is an attack on these very values. My thoughts are with the people of Ukraine.” are the words on the LinkedIn profile of the DB CEO, Richard Lutz.
