As part of the modernization of the signaling equipment, AŽD will install a fully electronic ESA 44 station signaling system in Hungary that will be in charge of traffic at two railway stations, Szeged-Rendező and Röszke. The delivery will also include integrated line signaling equipment, supply of LED signal lights, level crossings, and the supply and installation of the stationary part of the ETCS L1 system, with a total value of EUR 5.7 million.
The two companies will work together to develop, manufacture, and install railway signaling equipment in Hungary. The cooperation will involve the application of Czech know-how and tools in the production of the final equipment in Hungary, as well as the development of software specifically adapted to Hungarian needs.
