The Lithuanian Railways (LTG) Group has bolstered its management team with the addition of communications expert Aleksandras Zubriakovas, who now holds the position of Director of Corporate Affairs for LTG. Zubriakovas will oversee brand management, public relations, internal communications, and stakeholder engagement for the Group.

"Earlier in the year, the LTG Group introduced a revamped strategy that targets five pivotal areas: business expansion into Northern and Western Europe, enhancement of operational efficiency, fortifying organizational culture, ensuring business resilience, and championing sustainability. Alexander's entrance into the management team comes at a crucial juncture as we embark on this significant leap forward. I am confident that his deep expertise, vast experience, and fervent passion will not only aid in the execution of our strategy but also align with the public's expectations for transparency and collaboration," remarks LTG CEO Egidijus Lazauskas.

"With rail transport for both passengers and freight witnessing a significant surge in Europe, the driving factors include environmentally-conscious passengers and businesses seeking minimal environmental footprints for their products and transport. I find it both intriguing and rewarding to amplify this sector's voice. Our communication focus, rooted in the Green Deal, will highlight projects from our refreshed corporate strategy. I am optimistic that, alongside the team, we'll elevate the societal value LTG delivers, making it known to a wider audience," shares A. Zubriakovas, the newly-appointed Head of LTG Corporate Affairs.

Zubriakovas officially commenced his role at LTG on September 25th, bringing with him over two decades of professional acumen. Before joining LTG, he led the communications wing of Penki Kontinentai Group, managed communications for an Ignitis Group subsidiary, and oversaw communications and marketing for Bankera, a fintech hub. His earlier roles include serving as a spokesperson for the Financial Crimes Investigation Service, a PR advisor to the ex-Mayor of Vilnius, and holding positions in Lithuanian and international media for over ten years.

The selection for LTG's Head of Corporate Affairs saw participation from 30 candidates. Aims International Lietuva, an executive search company chosen via a public procurement procedure, supported LTG in identifying the best fit for the role.

The LTG Group encompasses the parent company Lietuvos geležinkeliai (LTG) and its primary subsidiaries - LTG Cargo for freight transport, LTG Link for passenger services, and LTG Infra which oversees the nation's railway infrastructure and its modernization.
