Budimex has inked a partnership with the Krakow University of Economics, making it the 41st academic institution the company has allied with in the past year.
The partnership, announced at the beginning of the year by Budimex CEO Artur Popko and Prof. Stanisław Mazur, Rector of the University, is set to enrich the academic journey of students through practical experience, internships, and joint research aimed at pioneering innovative construction solutions.
"Signing an agreement with the University of Economics in Krakow not only gives young people the opportunity to gain practical experience. As part of the cooperation, Budimex specialists will conduct teaching classes, training, courses, and postgraduate studies," says Artur Popko. "An important part of the cooperation established today will be the exchange of experiences between EU lecturers and our employees during conferences, symposia, and scientific and technical seminars."
The partnership will emphasize practical learning experiences for students. Through the Budimex Academy program, initiated in 2014, students across various disciplines, including engineering, HR, finance, and IT, are offered paid internships, providing a hands-on understanding of the construction industry's dynamics. According to the company, this program has benefitted over 3,000 students from universities and technical schools, with a significant number transitioning into full-time roles within Budimex.
