Budimex Crowned Company of the Year at Prestigious 'Parkiet' Gala

Budimex has been honored as the Company of the Year 2023 of the MWIG40 Index at the 30th annual 'Parkiet' Gala.

This award celebrates Budimex's performance in the stock market, where it achieved a remarkable 127 percent return on shares in 2023. Cezary Szymanek, Rzeczpospolita's deputy economics editor, noted the company's significant growth in its order book and its successful expansion into international markets. "The company is increasingly boldly expanding abroad, winning very large contracts, for example – the construction of the Rail Baltica railway line," said Szymanek.

Marcin Węgłowski, the company's Director of the Economic and Financial Division representing Budimex at the gala, expressed gratitude for the prestigious recognition, attributing the success to the collective effort of all employees and the Management Board. "Budimex has been listed on the stock exchange for 29 years. This award is the culmination of our presence in the WIG40. Since March 15, Budimex has been in the WIG20, and we hope to positively surprise with our presence in this index as well. Rail Baltica is not everything; we do not only build railways, we also construct roads and are active in the area of general construction. We are proud that a piece of this hard work of all our company's employees in building modern Poland has been recognized," said Węgłowski.

Budimex's expansion beyond the Polish borders and diversification in construction projects, including roads and general construction, were central to earning this distinction. The company not only managed to stand out in a challenging year for the industry but also built a formidable order portfolio, primarily in road and rail contracts, solidifying its status as Poland's largest general contractor.
