During the XXIII Economic Forum in Karpacz, Budimex S.A. and PKP CARGO S.A. signed a Letter of Intent to support the employment of PKP CARGO employees affected by the restructuring.

Budimex, one of Poland’s largest construction companies and responsible for developing high-speed rail networks, will offer up to 100 positions in various professional groups, including diesel traction vehicle driversrolling stock mechanics, and electricians. The recruitment process will begin in the coming weeks as part of the ongoing restructuring of PKP CARGO.

"The offer to gain unique experience under the signed letter of intent allows us to believe that both the future employer and the newly hired PKP CARGO employees will meet their expected benefits," stated Dr. Marcin Wojewódka, acting CEO of PKP CARGO S.A. As part of the restructuring process, PKP CARGO also offers training and counseling to help employees transition into new roles, providing them with resume writing assistance, interview preparation, and technical courses.

This is the twelfth such agreement signed by PKP CARGO, with more than 2,000 employees potentially finding new jobs in other sectors through these partnerships. Anna Karyś-Sosińska, Budimex's Director of Human Resources Management, emphasized the importance of corporate responsibility in this initiative, noting that what is a challenge for one company can be an opportunity for another. She added, "Budimex is an excellent place to realize professional ambitions related to railroad construction," pointing to the company's involvement in high-profile projects like Rail Baltica in Latvia.
