The Board of Directors has appointed Benjamin Niederhauser (36) as the new Head of the Division Components and a member of Stadler’s Group Executive Board with effect from 1 October 2023. He will take over from Christian Spichiger.

Christian Spichiger has worked at Stadler for over 21 years. He has made a significant contribution to Stadler’s success in his various positions, be it while working as FLIRT project manager, establishing Stadler Polska in Siedlce or heading the Division Central Europe and the Division Components. As part of the company’s long-term succession planning, he will hand over the management of the Division Components as of 1 October 2023. In the future, he will continue to develop and expand the power converter sector, which is an important area for Stadler.

"In the various functions Christian Spichiger has held in the Group, he has made a significant contribution to Stadler's success. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to him for the work he has done, which has been very valuable for Stadler," said Peter Spuhler, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Benjamin Niederhauser, currently Deputy Head of the Division Service, arrived at Stadler in 2016 and has held various management positions since 2018. Before joining Stadler, he was a project manager in a Swiss management consulting firm. He has a Master’s degree in economics from the University of Zurich.

“In Benjamin Niederhauser, we have found an outstandingly qualified manager from its own ranks to head the Division Components, says Markus Bernsteiner, Group CEO.

This change of generation will allow Stadler to ensure continuity, not only in relation to its sustainable success but also with regard to the trust of employees, customers and partners.
