For all people aged under 26, ÖBB offers the ÖBB Summer Ticket again this year. With it, teenagers and young adults can discover the whole of Austria comfortably, cheaply and above all climate-friendly for 30 days during the summer. The ÖBB Summer Ticket is available from today, June 15, 2022, on the smartphone via ÖBB App, on the Internet at tickets.oebb.at, at ÖBB ticket vending machines and ticket counters in the train stations.

A prerequisite for the purchase of the ÖBB Summer Ticket is a valid ÖBB Vorteilscard Youth. Whoever books online or mobile in the ÖBB customer account, is travelling at a particularly low price this year: For all under 20 years of age, the ticket is available there for 34 Euros including 5 free seat reservations, for all from 20 to under 26 years of age for 59 Euros including 5 free seat reservations. If purchased at the ticket counter, at ticket vending machines as well as online/mobile in an unregistered state, the ticket costs 54 Euro (for all under 20 years) or 89 Euro (for all from 20 to under 26 years). The validity period of the ÖBB Summer Ticket is 30 days and can be freely chosen by the customers in the campaign period from July 2 to September 11, 2022.

Discover the whole of Austria in a climate-friendly way with ÖBB

The ÖBB Summer Ticket is valid in 2nd class on all ÖBB trains in Austria (except Nightjet and EuroNight trains), the Raaberbahn as well as on the ÖBB Intercitybus between Graz and Klagenfurt. From Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 03:00 of the following day and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays all day long, you can travel by train as often as you like. Due to the increased number of passengers, it is obligatory to book a seat reservation for journeys with the ÖBB Summer Ticket on long-distance trains on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The IC buses can be used every day exclusively with a reservation. When purchasing the ÖBB Summer Ticket in the ÖBB customer account online/mobile, all customers will receive five free seat reservations for the first time this year. Thus, the seat on the desired train can be guaranteed and nothing stands in the way of a stress-free journey.
