On April 19, 2019, Christoph Klaes took over the new Alstom's Head of Customer Service in Berlin position. He will be responsible for Alstom's customer service and sales activities in the DACH region, covering Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
"With Christoph Klaes, we are gaining an outstanding and experienced specialist in the rail vehicle sector. Not only does he have specialist expertise in the mass transit sector, for which he was responsible in his last role, but he also has relevant experience in the mainline sector, which he will bring to our organization," underlines Müslüm Yakisan, President of Alstom Region DACH. "I am looking forward to working with him and warmly welcome Christoph Klaes."
Klaes has been in the rail industry for 17 years, starting with Deutsche Waggonbau and Bombardier Transportation as its successors and passing through Siemens and, most recently, Stadler.
"You could say that moving to Alstom, I am now closing the circle again. I am thrilled with the opportunities and potential that the company holds, not only in the DACH region but also internationally. The market opportunities of the new Alstom with alternative drives, digital solutions, and, last but not least, in the service area, are unparalleled. I am anticipating the challenges and will do my part to leverage all this potential," says Christoph Klaes, Head of Customer Management at Alstom DACH.
