In an agreement aimed at enhancing urban mobility, Adif and Adif Alta Velocidad (AV) have committed 25,500 square meters of land to spearhead the Alicante TRAM terminal project, following the signing of a General Protocol of Actions with the Generalitat Valenciana and the Alicante City Council.

The project's rollout is structured into two phases to ensure a smooth transition and effective utilization of the allocated land. Initially, Adif and Adif AV will facilitate the commencement of construction work by the Generalitat at no cost, by formalizing the necessary administrative agreements. This approach underscores a strategic commitment to infrastructure development without a financial burden on the regional government. Then, in the project's advanced stages, the land ownership will be transferred permanently and without charge to the Generalitat, granting it full control over the station and its encompassing infrastructure, including both surface and subterranean elements.
