AFRY has named Linda Pålsson as its new President and CEO, effective immediately.
AFRY’s Board of Directors has officially appointed Linda Pålsson as the new President and CEO, following a recruitment process that began on 9 September 2024, according to the AFRY press release. She succeeds Jonas Gustavsson, who departs after eight years of leadership, during which the company expanded significantly, reaching annual net sales of approx. EUR 2.3 billion.

In announcing the appointment, AFRY’s Chairman of the Board, Tom Erixon, said, "Under Jonas Gustavsson’s leadership, AFRY has shown strong growth. I would like to thank him for his dedicated work and collaboration over the years." Erixon also expressed confidence in Pålsson’s ability to guide AFRY through its next chapter. "Linda has a comprehensive understanding of the complexity of the green transition and experience in leading large, complex projects with the customer in focus. Under her leadership, AFRY will continue to develop its global leading position in the green transition, with increased focus on profitability."
A New CEO with Deep Industry Expertise
Pålsson brings extensive experience in energy, infrastructure, and large-scale project management, as outlined in AFRY’s LinkedIn announcement. She has held several senior roles within AFRY, including:
- Executive Vice President and Head of the Energy Division
- Vice President of Hydro Global & Energy Nordics
- Business Area Manager for Energy Projects
- Market Area Manager for Transmission & Distribution
Before joining AFRY, she served as CEO of Triventus Windpower AB and was Regional Manager at Infratek. Pålsson, born in 1974, holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden.
"AFRY is a fantastic company, and I look forward with great anticipation to leading AFRY in this next phase," Pålsson said in her first statement as CEO, as quoted in the AFRY press release. "With its unique position, AFRY is well-equipped to meet our clients' needs for large-scale projects that accelerate the transition to a more sustainable society." She also outlined her priorities for the company, stating: "We will continue to strengthen our project deliveries and maintain a strong focus on structural profitability improvements. I’m grateful for the trust placed in me and look forward to taking the next step on this journey with the entire AFRY team."
