PKP CARGO International is undergoing a leadership change. As of September, Łukasz Henryk Grzesło has taken over as the new CEO, replacing Zbigniew Prus. However, Prus isn’t stepping out of the picture entirely—he will continue to oversee PKP CARGO Service.
PKP CARGO International a.s., the subsidiary serving international markets for Poland's national railway carrier, headquartered in the Czech Republic, has announced a change in its management. Starting in early September, Łukasz Henryk Grzesło will assume the role of Chairman of the Board and CEO, replacing the interim Chairman Zbigniew Prus. Pruse will continue his leadership role at the subsidiary PKP CARGO Service. Additionally, Jerzy Woszczyna, a board member, has been dismissed and will continue his work at PKP CARGO Tabor, another subsidiary.

Woszczyna and Grzesło had temporarily taken over the management of PKP CARGO International (formerly AWT until 2019) in the spring of 2024, alongside their roles in other PKP CARGO subsidiaries, following the sudden dismissal of former CEO Dariusz Seliga.
The new CEO, Łukasz Grzesło, is a seasoned railway industry executive. He previously served as the director of the Czech subsidiary of CTL Logistics, Poland’s largest private rail freight company, based in Ostrava. He is a graduate of the Military University of Technology and the Warsaw School of Economics.
The company’s board is now composed of Łukasz Grzesło as Chairman and Michal Kubíček as Vice-Chairman.
