21 candidates for the position of general director of Lithuanian Railways

The first interviews for the position of general director of Lietuvos Geležinkeliai (LTG) are currently underway, with 21 applicants. The winner will be announced in the second half of July this year.

The main tasks of LTG's CEO will be to find new business opportunities, increase efficiency and further diversify the group's activities. Master Class Lietuva's executive search experts assist in the best candidates selection, and the board of directors appoints the director.

The LTG's interim CEO position is currently held by Egidijus Lazauskas, who previously was the CEO of LTG Cargo.

All in all, Lietuvos geležinkeliai is the largest state railway group in the Baltic states, which has nearly 8,000 employees and consists of five directly owned companies: LTG Cargo, LTG Link, LTG Infra, Geležinkelio tiesimo centras, Rail Baltica statyba.
